So, after a couple good years of riding without ever going down or even coming close, it just took 2 months of stunting to destroy my record... Ive been trying to learn how to scrape 12s and tonight i went out to the lot with the thought on my mind to just sac up and do it. In the first two minutes of riding, i went to try and scrape and i came down on the bar too hard and crooked. When the bar hit the ground, I hit the pavement and looked up to see my bike flipping *** over end. I didn't know if i should be pissed cause i ****ed my bike up or stoked because i hit the bar... I chose stoked :YEAH

Anyway, thats my story... first crash of what im sure will be many...

you should take off your bar and learn with just tail. its much more forgiving and wont buck you off like that

 

i'm learning on my bar.... i wish i had a tail to learn on,i've scraped it maybe 20 times and have set it down maybe 5-6 times...from what i hear and SEEN, round bars and tails are forgiving...

Did you try it again? That's the key. unless your bike is down then that slows things down a bit

Welcome to the club bro! I just dropped mine last month and I just got a check for $4200. Sucks when you see your baby sliding down the highway. At least you didn't get hurt! Not only can't I ride because my bike is toast right now, but I've got two busted up legs and rollin in a wheelchair!

YEP:YEAH I rode it home with busted muffler mounts, a broken master cylider, bent forks, a bent and smashed clip on, bent clutch lever, huge dent in the tank, and a hell of alot more scratches.... it will be back on that 12 bar by the end of the week..

 

right on man. now go out and try it again but try and slow the wheelie down enough to where if u land on the bar crooked u can kinda just jump off and run behind it to still straighten it out....letting go is fun but from what ive learned it can be pricey....and if u can still save it, might as well try. just get the wheelie up to bp then kinda bring it a lil past the bp and kinda let off the gas and it should just slowly fall back onto the 12bar. get out there and DO IT! :YEAH
