Sprocket size question??
Sprocket size question??
Ok my question is, Is it worth changein the size of my sprockets on a 1000? I had a 03 636 ninja with 52 teeth in the back, and drop 2 in front. but It had no first gear and top speed was totaly fvcked, So im lookin for a good size that wont ruin the top speed to much and will still give it good torqe. Thanks -Nate Also anyone got a stuntbike for sale??
Re: Sprocket size question??
no offense dude, cause i dont know you at all.... but you have to come up with a better name than HFR.... not rippin on what it stands for, but thats way to close to XFR. if you lived in cali or something it wouldnt make a difference, but since your both in MA, its kinda bumb.

why would you go down 2 in the front? 1 tooth in the front is equal to 3 in the back when you do the ratio! Plus, if it's anything less than a 15 tooth in front, it's not good for the chain. If you want somethin that's gonna do ya good, from what I hear 1 down 10 up for a total of 13 up is good all around. I personally have 17 up an... it tachs around 9 grand on the highway. I also found that for each like 3 teeth that you go up the revs will also go up around 3-500 rpms, so just keep that in mind. Just see what your bike revs at now at comfortable highway speed, write it down, an then do the math. Also, there was a kid right in nh with an f4i for sale. It's posted in IMR's forumn.

and rear sprockets over 50th just recently almost doubled in price. so its probubly cheaper to get a not so big rear and drop 2 teeth up front...
and the taching out thing. your bike still hits the revlimiter at the same spot. your gauges are off. just like your speedo is, the tachometer is too.....
and BOSS.... i have no idea, ive never ridden a liter bike. also, sell the gixx while you can

that part is true.. notice how i didnt correct you on that one. but if its a stuntbike, you should care anyways.
