anybody have any experience with this here? I'm thinking travelling pro's have had to ship their bikes out of the country at least once or twice....

I'm looking to ship a bike to the dominican republic, fed ex told me $4000, thats insaneeee

boat is cheaper...but takes forever.

by plane, that sounds about right.

forward air is a good place for baseline prices

I'll be needing to send 2 bikes to germany within a few so im keeping a close eye on this thread....but yeah anyone know how much by boat to europe?

Orlando Florida to England was about 3800 a bike.

Not including the crate.

if you ship by container and just strap the bikes on a pallet you're probably lookin' at around $700.00. those prices sound about right if you're air freight. if you go by container make sure you leave enough time and have the correct paperwork to clear customs.

best way is by boat in a container....


better way--say fu(k it and just buy the damn bike over there and sell it when your done......costs are wayyyyyy to high.

and forward air gave me a bad experience once....they have poor buisness ethics (at least in milwaukee) i don't recomend anybody doing buisness with those jag offs.

I've been getting different quotes from all over the net, lowest so far being $1995 which includes shipping a pre-built crate to me and having the bike picked up at my door, best deal so far but I'm still looking for this one place that told me $800 a few months ago.

I'm taking the f4i to DR for a 10 day vaca, prolly wind up selling it there to avoid shipping costs back
