What year 636?
This winter im planning on getting a 636 to stunt but was wondering what year is the best?Whether the new swing arm makes a differance on the new ones or not? Any feedback on anything about the 636 would be appreciated!

Re: What year 636?
I have an 05, but I would trade it for an 04 anyday. My personal opinion is the 03-04's are built a little stronger. The 05 + it seems they tried to cut a lot of weight and made the bike weaker..ie, subframes, ram air, forks, ect...

Re: What year 636?
Thanks for the info about the strength of the frames etc. Have u had any bad experiance with certain cages on that bike? Im gonna be running full fairing and prob with a 905 cage and 12 bar.Ive heard powers are real strong but get in the way.If you know any real good setup for the bike id love to know! Ive riden a 05'600rr with a gpr damper and even at 8 it didnt seem overly stiff. What damper would you go with?
Thanks for the help!

I just couldn't find the pic of a 905, but the 905 is basically the same.

Re: What year 636?
powers cages on a 636 are the ****......................do it 905 = bent and leaking oil filters.
also put a set of rear axle sliders on it. helps keep the cheap *** foot pegs from breaking in 1/2.

and the 636's are good beucase they are easy to ride becuase they feel so light and what not (also bad because light means fragile)

Re: What year 636?
The 636 has a few slight problems that once you take care of its just as good if not better then an F4i or any other stunt bike.........I say better becasue the extra power it has is nice for its weight.....
Basically you NEED to do something about the ram air/fairing stay, the rearsets, and the oil breather.......After fixing that its a great stunt bike
If you want something that requires less prep then get an F4i, but if you ever try a 636 you might regret it....
