If you wreck its not your ****, and it gives you the confidence you wouldnt have on the streets! I took the class for fun, and it was alot of fun! Met good people, and all that bs. So you spend a little money on one day instead of a couple grand and possibly not being able to ride your bike for a while and then realizing this aint for you! Again, some people just arent sure man. But I aint trippin!

I taught myself basic controlled wheelies on my 1st big bike on a 4 day weekend 3mo after buying it...
Gas = wheel up
Roll off gas/rear brake = wheel down
To clutch a wheelie - pull clutch just into the friction zone, then gas it and let it out at the same time... (Take baby steps to get the feel for it, then go higher ect.)
This sh*t isn't rocket science here people, nor is it natural talent.. Just go practice..

hey BMW before spending the big bucks on Wheelie school.....Spend some small bucks 20 or 30 Bucks and Buy Kyle Woods and Matt Gorkas Wheelie Videos......Worth the money , especially for someone like yourself who is really wanting to do it , but having trouble. (I already knew how to do decent power wheelies, But these vids have helped me improve, and I'm just starting to be able to slow my stuff down a little)(And I know the Vids will help me more as I get better and better....Packed with great basic info) Watch them many times , and keep practicing.... I'll bet you are happy with the results within weeks. good Luck

Also just learning to wheelie period first.. power wheelies or whatever. will help with the slo wheelies... Slo wheelies consist of good throttle AND brake control... You don't have either, so the results ar going to be breaking a lot of stuff.. LOL
Just learning power wheelies will help you establish some throttle control... Then if you want to learn brake, you either can get a 50 or just go for it on the big bike like I did... But just jumping strait into slo wheelies on your R1, my prediction will be this: Crash, crash, crash... I quit...
Re: Starboyz or onewheel wheelie school??
TRUE,, you can only tell a person so much.. its all in the Heart & ***** .. i taught myself everything i know.. BY MYSELF ... just gotta ride the **** outta bike & try & understand it.. Dont be scurred fool. it'll probably hurt a little bit..lol Just try & make since of whats going on while your up there on one wheel.. its all in your knowledge dog.. COVER THE BACK break.. dont be a jack @ss.

^^^^^^ are you for real (46y/old)!!!!mad props to you because it's harder to learn new things as u get older, hey BMW listen mang I told you from the other post that u need to sell your R1 because the fear of wrecking it is holding you back or keep it if u have some $$$ and buy a $1000 f4i or 929 or whatever and learn on it, u have alot of talented riders in here who wouldn't mind giving you advice and show you the ropes but make sure u want to do it because it exites you and u love it cuz it's not cool to be a poseur

Dude if you wanna waste your money on a school check this out first --->CLICKY<--- HAHA
But seriously if you haven't picked anything up all summer I don't think stunting is for you. Do you have any stunt DVDs? Just go out and buy a bunch of them and watch, they may help you and find someone that stunts or wants to stunt in your area and go out with them. I wouldn't waste any money on a school. How much does it cost for wheelie school? I'd hit up the classifieds or ebay and buy a 50 or a dirt bike and learn on that rather than spend money on a school
But if you wanna waste your money then go for it.
I've been working on stunting this summer and am doing spreaders (weak ones), seat standers, sitdowns, standups, and trying a bunch of other stuff. And I have been riding for about 6 months. I'm not very good, but I'm practicing almost everyday now. Stunting wasn't a priority for me, but its turning into one. I know I have a long ways to go before I get good but you have to get out and practice. Rather than chop the throttle, clutch it and start slow. Other than that go out and watch some vids and try to find someone to ride with
