So when your bike tips over it kills the motor and it doesnt keep running on its sideIf you ever happend to get stuck under a bike after a crash youd apprciate the Tip over sensor stoppin the motor for you....

Re: Stupid GSXR's

now that i think aboot it,, i was barrelin down the highway doing a wuulie infront of 15 bikes or so,, Crazy Martin right beside me,, i passed a car then changed lanes infront of it, hit a bump and the bike shuts off.. I always ride with the bars at full lock.. So i get flung almost off the front.. my head is right at the front tire as its tankslappin but i save it, only because i grabbed the clutch in time, so that car behind me almost smokes me, along with the 14 other bikes.. It was NASTY... and i can thank that GSXR peice of **** sidestand or tip sensor.. Fu(K I need a Honda...

I have found that not all bikes do it my 1k would befor I did the mod my friends 750 never has done it. It is a scary feeling when ya bike cuts off almost pass 12 that whole life flashing befor your eyes I hope you will never experience it not any fun at all.

Yeah I guess it is good. It is nice it cuts off but dose it cool the bike off as soon as it cuts off to? Even if it cuts off you will still get a nice burn running or not. I haves seen alot of all of my friends bite it at high and low speeds at the track and have never seen one go down and slide still on the bike, most go down and let the bike go. I have never seen one try and hold on to save it while sliding. But I guess it could happen to an inexperienced rider, at the track they teach you to always let it go, hope fully I will have the brains to let the bike go and not get stuck under it.

Yeah, I hear you can relocate the tip over sensor on the Gixxer.... other bikes you can eliminate or remove it, but the gixxer has to have it for some reason..... anyone hear of relocating it?

Re: Stupid GSXR's

My old 03' gsxr only dies when I lay it down or drop it....The kick stand started messin up the last few weeks. I'd put it up then go into first & it'd stall. It's frustrating....may it R.I.P. April 29, 2006.

+1 when cold my 636 idles down if i pull in the clutch to coast, or do a stoppie (to check just pull in the clutch and see it if idles way down/dies) if so raise your idle (i run mine almost 2g just for everyday riding) solved my problem

Re: Stupid GSXR's

I have had all kinds of trouble with the TO sensor on my 750, replaced it twice. Was doing a h/c out on the highway, and it just f*cking died. Had a few slappers in my day, but there's nothing like a tank slapper ... while sitting on it. Probably the worst part of that deal was a damn suzuki ignition key in my A$$!!!

Does it just cut off, or does it bog down first? Also, are you getting an "FI" indication?

install another fuel shut off valve on the gas line close to the carbs but where you can easily reach it. Then just turn off the gas before doing endos. It will run fine during and after the endos
