That shop is full of **** all they need is a metal cutting blade to cut right through so unless you went to a woodworking shop they should be able to do it..Try another shop the guy probably just didn't want to fu(k with it..

Re: F4i Short pipe!!!

Best pipes to cut and make look 100% original are aftermarket "carbon fiber" pipes such as: 2 bros, Jaradine, M4, etc. All you have to do is drill out the center of the rivets at the base of the pipe. After you drill out the rivets, seperate the base from the carbon fiber. Measure how much you want to take off (4-5" is plenty) and wrap tape around it. Cut it with a chop saw in the center of the tape. Slide the muffler back onto the base of the pipe, re-drill some holes and re-rivet and it looks 100% original. My M4 is that way and it looks SICK!

Re: F4i Short pipe!!!

if you guys ever need any help with the welding let me know. we custom build parts for off-road vehicles, but welding is welding. check us out if we can help www.bluetorchfab.com .

I was thinking about making a custom pipe for my f4i. If I get around to it I will post up.

No bro, I'm neither an idiot nor new to the SPORT (BTW it's not a SCENE or may be 4 you it is=pun intended), the fact that I replied that way is because I stunt alone so I don't have any 'feedback' from other stunters as to what is the latest mods you could do to a bike
(I seriously thought he was pulling my leg when he said to saw it in half)
Today's hottest mod or stunt will be considered old school within a year or so, that's how fast the sport is moving forward (when I started stunting rear brake was unheard of as far as what was its purpose in stunting). That's the main reason I joined this forum a month ago to see what other stunters do as far as mods, new technique in order to push the envelope and not stay behind. In your case I guess you don't need that because you ride with the "peeps in the 518"

Did you have some backyard hack do it, or a professional welder? It should have turned out nice if he knows what he's doing....

Re: F4i Short pipe!!!

I cut my standard pipe down with just a hacksaw then had it welded all up.. I cut the bottom end of the pipe off so didn't have to **** with any of the cylinder pipes and stuff, only downside was had to grind the hanger bracket off and have it rewelded in the right place... didn't cost me much to do at all, its still pretty quiet.. i made it short enough not to scrape but left it as long as possible to keep it relatively quiet... looks alright to me, didnt cost much so i cant complain...

i reccomended cutting the bottom end of the exhaust, the end with the header pipes on, as then you dont have to **** with the inner stuff... i only cut 5" out of the can, but it does the trick thats all that matters.
