When stunting takes over.

Just printing out stuff for Sparks' F4i, so we can install his new clutch basket tomorrow, when i realised i don't own a stapler.

Just as well i keep zip ties by my computer. 1 screwdriver hole, and 1 ziptie later.

Damn sad, i know, but pretty apt.

haha, that's funny.

I replaced my fibers and plates earlier this week in my F4i. I had the PDF of my service manual but no printer. My friend brought his laptop. It sucked though, he made us wash our hands every time we needed to scroll to a different page...

Re: When stunting takes over.

Stupid question I know, but how do you know when you need to change out the clutch basket and plates and that garbage.

Thanks Justin

Clutch basket - when it brakes. This doesnt happen too much so dont worry about it.
Plates - when your clutch is slipping. You'll know when it happens, your wheelies will **** more and more.

*sometimes, switching to synthetic oil will make it slip too

Re: When stunting takes over.

My bike is slipping in 2nd gear, only sometimes, under power, when clutch is disengaged, it will feel like i feathered the clutch. Not doing any 2nd gear wheelies! Do I just need plates? how much$ a I looking at?

Try adjusting your lever, if it dosn't go away you need new clutch fibers, not the plates. Unless you scorch the plates they can be reused. Even if they are scortched you can usually sand them and reuse them.
