929 wrecked tranny

I f'd up the tranny in my 01 929, rebuilt it twice now and still have noise in the lower end. Replaced everything in the gearbox. bearings and gears. Also replaced main bearings. I'm over this **** , what would a decent used engine cost. (Ballpark figure). Any info would be cool. Thanx, Nate.

When You Re-build A Transmission You Have To Replace Everything, Shift Forks, Shift Drum And Detent. You Can Look On Your Frame For A Punch Mark To See If The Recalls Have Been Done.

Re: 929 wrecked tranny

929's generally have a little bit of a low end knock as it is. But as Ryan said, you have to replace everything when you rebuild one.
