placed an order for my 954 cage and got an email confirmation on Dec 15. 2005 saying 'it was received and being shipped next Wednesday', the 21st!!! and that was the last of it. I've pm'd him, emailed him and tried calling him ever since...no answer!!! WTF!!! are they still in buisness? I've had a cage on my f4i and keep telling people they're the shi7 but not any more! how hard is it to get back to a customer? damn! he's got my email and cell #. Anyway, anyone have any info on this company? need to know if I have to look else where...looks that way.

 

Tell me about it... I've been trying to get a cage ordered myself, im starting to second guess getting one??? I've talked briefly through pm's but thats it. My buddy has the same cage, and it's the ****, but im begining to think it's not worth the trouble??? F.I. here i come!!!

 

I dont know, Jeff said he'd ship out my cage on that wednesday too but I havent gotten anything yet, I'm startin to get a little impatient...hopefully this is all just a big mixup, I'm sure hes not out to rip us off, BUT I do need my cage ASAP

 

I could'nt get ahold of MXD either I had cash too--ended up with a Powers because they owed me a cage so I got a big discount. I'll get an MXD in about a year I guess?

Jeff has been on vacation for the last 2 weeks. Other than that, I could honestly tell you that he is very hard to get hold of. He is very bad with returning calls, but answers emails promptly.

MXD has quality products, but his customer service sucks. I'm currently trying to work with him to better this HUGE problem.

Hopefully, things work out for the better. Jeff is not out there to rip anyone off. He is very well off without your money. He enjoys his work and that is why his product is of really good quality.

My boy had the same problem gettin his.....no return phone calls emails or anything........got it like two months after her ordered it........Try Matt over at Powers, I recieved mine in less than a week and so did my boy that had problems with MXD........

 

I had the same problem. The cage looks awesome, but I couldn't get a hold of anyone. I ended up going with 905.

 

oh man I hope mine doesnt take that long!! I need it before next month GAH! I'm half tempted to order a racing 905 cage or an FI now...

 

People need to take some serious notes from Phil over at Motoheaven! That man knows how to run a business!!

I've gone through all the major cage companies except for MXD. I think im gonna continue my business elsewhere unless i get some replies....... I just want to be sure im getting the product in a timely manor!!

 

his cages look nice, but im done with 2 piece cages. break em.... cant get em back on IF you can get emm off.

thats why i will only deal with FI, wnet thru one cage got the new style here its super mint. custy service is the bomb, ive gone thru tim and scott stunters.com. break that and you can buy replacement parts and the pieces are repairable/bendbackable

 

was it abe lincoln??? you can't please all of the people all of the time. for every person that has rcvd bad service we can find 2 that rcvd great service.
your situations def suck. i don't think MXD is out of business. you paid you'll get it. put yourself in his shoes for a sec, his cages are in demand. you'll know why when you test it out. it's not like he doesn't want to sell them to you!

my it sucks to order things around Xmas/New Years. waiting on parts always sucks. get whatever cage you want but remember that old @$$ Heinz Ketchup comercial. Good things come to those that wait!! :YEAH

everyone check outwww.scrapeworks.com they are a new company outta connecticut. The price is a little higher than most but there cages are strong as hell. They are perfecting the f4i design right now. I can get pics of the f4i cage if anyone wants to pm me or whatever.

But I do agree with the fellow who said FI is the best because they are easy to put on and off and you can replace single parts. everyone knos how bad it sucks to work with other cages. Bottom line is cages are a pain in the *** to deal with but without them are bikes would be fooked up

well said, MXD is not out of business, just really busy and shipping was delayed due to the holidays. As far as i know he gets alot of orders and he is the only person that is in there making all those cages. Unlike powers or 905 that have a few guys in the shop. Everyone has to start somewhere. MXD hasnt been around for too long but i can tell you guys one thing. i have tried almost all the cages out there and i honestly havent ever had a cage better than my MXD cage. So for those that are unhappy. Learn a little patience and im sure you wont be dissapointed or feel like u wasted your money

 

what??? I don't mind waiting. Like I said, I've had an MXD on my f4i for a while now and love it! My problem is, he emailed me saying it would be shipped out on a certain date. It's been 3 weeks since then and NO EMAILS, RETURN CALLS, PM's etc. It's just if you advertise a product and have a business you have to keep your customers updated. Just let us know if it'll be delayed and keep us posted. That's all I'm asking. I don't want a 905 or FI or a Powers. But what other choice do I have? I'm done. I'll see what happens in a week or so.
