Here is the scoop....
Jeff SUCKS at returning phone calls!!! He does okay on emails.... He has a secretary in his office for another job and tries to have her do some things on the side. He also has a girlfriend that tries to help out a little.
He is basically a one man operation and he knows NOTHING about customer service!!! It sucks, but thats the way it is right now. His products are good and can compete with the others hands down.
I definitely agree with everyone that he should atleast return messages in any form and should be more detailed(honest) on what the status is on your purchase. Postmarks/tracking don't lie. If he says he shipped it on the 25th then the postmark/tracking should say the 25th, not the any day after.
I'm trying to work things out with him to help better his customer service. Hopefully alll goes well... hope that info helped....

MXD Products are GAAAAAAAAARBAGE! I bought a track cage for my 1000 and never laid it down, the only thing I did was when I first got it I set it down on the left side to see the clearance. After maybe two week the right bolt broke off in my engine mount, not too big of a deal an easy fix of tapping out a bolt in your engine! Then a month or two later the left side broke where the weld is at the frame/engine bolt. So I contacted him about a refund. To me if a product you make brakes without ever hitting the ground I can only imagine what will happen if it hits the ground. Jeff tells me to take it off and send it back. It's around this time that his awesome customer service skills come into play :jerkoff. To cut it short after a couple months of trying to contact via phone and email, he tells me I LAID it down and that he won't give me a refund the best he can do is send me another garbage track cage. I was PISTED for a couple reason, first because when I orginally ordered it he told me that the track cages could hold up to 12-20 12 drops depending on the severity, but could unthinkable brake the first time, which is reasonable. Second because I felt like I was being d**ked around by his customer service skills and third because HE was telling me what I did to the cage. So I was like F**K this cage and told him I didn't even want his product on my bike and that I would just eat that 145 dollars plus shipping back to him. But he said that he would feel better if he just shipped it to me and was done with it. I agreed because I figured I could ebay the garbage for a buy it now price of 50$ or something. And that's when he reinforced his awesome customer service skills by never sending me the cage or returning any of me emails. So in my opinion Jeff is D**K and his cages are GARBAGE. I'm sure plenty of you have his cages and love them and they hold up fine, whick is awesome that's what they're supposed to do. It's just that he treated me like someone who was beneath him and didn't deserve his time or effort and anybody who does that F**K them. Thanks for reading my ravings.

UPDATE: got an email from Jeff. He's shipping it out today and he took care of me. That's cool cause I've had a FI & 905 in the past and it all depends on the type of bike and how they're used but the MXD cages are awesome!

dam, i guess i cant take a vacation anymore. i had my entire family here for xmas & i never really get to see them, so i decided to do the family thing. then i went to vegas for new years, got backed up on orders, & **** happened. heres the scoop on my deal here.
i have a secretary at my day job, i give her stuff to ship out. if i tell you im sending it out at this date, that is when i have given her the package. if she doesnt send it out that day, theres really not much i can do about it, but ask her kindly the next day to send it out. our shipping sucks, our service sucks, i know this. im trying to work on it, but like was said before, its me & a buddy doing this. i have my girl answering my phone now, it was broke for that past month or so, now its fixed & will be answered 10ish to 5ish PST. im not going to set a specific time, because she is my girl and everyone knows how that goes
everything has been shipped that has been ordered, with the exeption of a gsxr street to socal stunts. should be here tomorrow.
for everyone whos stuff got shipped out late, there are goodies & hoodies in there. sorry, hope this smooths everything over.
again, i dont need the money, i do this because for some reason, i like it. maybe we will blow up, if that happens, then the customer service thing will all be good. but until then, i work all day for my pops & then at night & weekends, i do MXD with my friend. until MXD can pay me at least a few grand a week, i cant just quit my job. sometimes i get so busy at inland, i just dont have time to answer my phone or call people back. i already am getting yelled at by construction people, the last thing on my mind is getting yelled at by a bunch of crazy bikers.
email is the best & quickest way to get an answer, im already at my desk, an icon pops up, i can click it & answer your questions, without being obvios that im not doing the work im supposed to be doing at my day job. in all honesty, i should be fired for some of the things i do for MXD while im getting paid by another company.

thank you for your opinion. i needed a vacation, i took it, everything is now under control. maybe i should quit my day job, that way i can be broke, but at least all my customers will be happy
i could understand if i was claiming to have the best customer service in the industry, but i know i dont. 905 takes that award. i just try to make a good product & get it shipped out. if it takes a little longer than expected, sorry, but its the best i can do.

He isn't taking more business than he can handle.... Did you not read his thread?? He straight up said how he does business and that his customer service and shipping situation sucks.... So, now you have to decide if you can't be patient long enough to even make an order with him.
If you make an order, you know whats coming... that entails a good business cuz you should only be complaining about something the business said they could do, but didn't.

like i said before, and G has said in the post above. i dont claim to have the best service, i simply make a great product that WILL protect your bike. our cages look great, work great and we will replace them if they are defective. sometimes we have slow shipping, sometimes its fast, sometimes i can control it, sometimes i cant.
i didnt really plan on taking a 2 week or so vacation, it was more like i planned on going in to work, but then my family begged me to finally spend time with them, so i gave in, figuring that it wouldnt be that big of a deal. and so far, all my customers have been pretty understanding. the only people who are really complaining now are people like you who havent really asked me for anything, but just feel like they need to express thier opinion, which is cool too.
