I guess I'm in a different area of the field, I'm trying to reach a mainstream audience and have thus far made -$20,000. When I do make any money, I have a feeling this time it'll be "break even" since it's my first try at film making and I'm not going a conventional route. At least the equipment isn't stuff I have to buy repeatedly.

And like I said, I'm new to film making. I don't pay people to be the subject of an article, and I don't share the check I get for writing it. Their payoff is being in an article, and if I don't write it, or get it published neither of us gets anywhere.

If I was doing a straight entertainment and not an educational piece I could expect to make more probably, but I'd be stepping on peoples' toes.

you say if you didnt write it or you didnt get it published niether would get any thing thats an article not a video and in the case of a video you act like you getting it filmed and sold is the only part that is work what about the subject of the vid you need that to film and sell

Yeah, that's what I was saying, my perspective is a little different. But if the market can't really bear profit sharing at this point, from a marketing standpoint, participating in videos that will for certain be distributed is a good way to help the sport grow to a point where it can sustain paying the stunters a piece. I don't kniow the profit margins so I guess I can't say.

ETA I don't think filming and editing is the only part thta is work, but it costs money and people are doing it to hopefully make money. Not that the stunters don't deserve to get paid, believe me I bark up that tree a lot these days, they should be getting paid.

Drew is a cool dude before we even sent in our footage he send us a box load of DVD's and swag.....Todd Colbert on the other hand !!! we where in 2 of his movies and never got ****!!!!!! not even a dvd we had to buy them!!

Next time you are making a "General Statement" that ridicules hardworking people that are "Out There" taking personal risks to move this sport/lifestyle of ours ahead please be somewhat knowledgable of the facts.

You're offhanded remarks are fairly insulting. How could they not be. I've worked very hard over the last 7 years and I'm very far from being wealthy. To add insult to injury right now I'm totally ****in broke. I guess I'm lucky that nags "brought to your attention" that I "Take care of my riders" or else someone who admittingly "Don't really know him" could walk into this thread months after it started and just rip me apart. But what you don't understand is that it's not all about money. As you can see from some of the replies being in one of my films creates a strong bond that we all share. That is something that far outweighs the minimal amount of money that's involved with putting out DVD's at this point. We believe in each other and our bonds of friendship will not be broken by haters.

And you are? and your RESULTS are? The films you've made, The streets you've rocked? How many years have YOU been in the game and what have YOU personally contributed??????????
