05 gix 6 opinions

Heard some good things about this bike just wanted to hear sopme more opinions from both sides of those that have put them to the test. I have an oppurtunity to pick one up for a decent price I love the f4i's havent done me wrong for years but you never know..

the f4i aint goin nowhere too solid, might add to the collection though. heard the new gixxers are super smooth just wanna hear what some ppl think that have rode em. hopefully i'll get to ride it this week if it stays warm up here like it is now.

i love mine to i got sold my f4i just to get one they are smooth and are cicrcle kings the only bad thing i have noticed is the subframe will snap easy but i had som dimond plate welded to it and now its strong as hell over all its the best bike i have stunted yet

sounds like a common problem but i dont think that will be hard to reinforce Where are they snapping? any other problems w/ them?

f4i stronger all round..gixxers take a beaten but are weak as well....frame, subframe are weak and will break soon

reenforce the subframe....put an oil pick up in it...and ull prolly be good to go...in the looong run the frame will prolly crack apart

actuly the 2005 frame are alittle stronger the welds are more prisice i have fliped mine so hared in a hc and it still stands.

has anyone managed to get the hairline cracks on the 04'+ gixxers? I havent heard of it on the SRADs either just the 00'-03's

^Ya I have never had a problem with my subframe... I have broken about 4 uppers though. Im gonna pick up a mdx upper support sometime

uppers get punished on most bikes i was more worried about major stuff. I dont like the idea about the frame breakin. I know f4i's are solid as hell just wanted to try something different for a little bit

my frame and subframe looked bulletproof reinforced, god damn battleship was comming , and it still broke many many times and so did all my friends, y u think no one rides them anymore, just stay off the subframe/bar and u shouldnt have too many problems, as for the frame, sorry ur fu(ked the day will come!!! reinforced or not

im fixing to put a cage and 12 bar on my 05 sixxer.....goin 13 up in the rear too.....i guess its time to buy a welder
