Re: NEW motorcycle law!?

The law in texas just got passed that allows bikes to "lane split" in traffic. So basically if the highway is all clogged up, motorcycles are allowed to ride on the dotted lines between cars. For traffic efficiency was their verdict.

(still a little bitter)

seizures do suck! I wish they had some wheelie law in place that allowed us to do them but there is no way in hell that it would ever happen. I lane split on occasion here in CO but for some reason the midwest state patrol have wild hairs to spare and wont hesitate to chase you to kansas. I just got a red license anyway and am gonna have a hard time with my fire academy now, plus its winter. But I shall ride again...oh yes...I shall ride again....

a wheelie law is a nice fantasy....and will remain a fantasy........if one does ever exist it will be where you are allowed to ride wheelies only in designated, confined areas....definately NOT on the streets among other vehicles.

and Darius is right....gotta watch for them randomly opening car doors, they can be a ***** when cruising between deadlock traffic

Re: NEW motorcycle law!?

Technically there is no law agains wheelies. at least there is nothing in the mv code but they will still find something to right u for it. reckless is definately too excessive but wouldnt be surprised to see them write it.
