Freestyle F4i cage's not made for cal/az models???

So i got my freestyle cage today for my f4i and the damn thing doesn't fit, the loop doesn't clear the header. I called freestyle and dude told me they don't fit california models due to the different header on them, but my bike is actually a arizona model, and after telling him that he said they are the same(which im pretty sure they aren't). anyone else have a cali bike, and run into this problem? and if so how'd you remedy it?

Mine didn't fit so i took the bolt out my headers on the bottom and push it up closer to the oil pan and rock it that way plus my bike street fighter anyways but i wonder how it will work with the plastic on. I almost called them too this suck because they don't give us a warning when we order it.

i had the same problem also but there's a way to put it on that you dont have to take the bolt out, put the sliders on first, bolt the loop on and push it back, its gonna hit the first part of the header, take a mallet and hit the loop pushing it backwards. this will knock it into the notch in the header and fit into position.

Yeah i had the same problem. Called freestyle and the guy said "oh its cool, Darius had the same problem, just take out the header bolt." I was thinking, what! since Darius had the same problem (if I even knew who he was talking about) just deal with it. Its not a big deal but my cage was purchased almost a year ago, if your new freestyle cage has the same problem he (freestyle ingenuity) needs to fix it and not rely on Darius's popularity to solve his problems. Or atleast put something in the box so people dont think, what the **** my cage doesn't fit and go through the hassle.

a lot of california bikes spill over into neighboring states. even if it was bought new in Az doesnt mean its an AZ bike.

cali bikes stick out, they have a o2 sensor and a catalytic converter, its easy to tell. and yeah i guess i can rig my cage up, but come on. i bought "the best" cage on the market and i have to take a mallet to it right out of the box? at least put a damn disclaimer somewhere, but i guess that would deter some buyers and they don't want that to happen. i was also planning on running fairings soon, but looks like that can't happen now.

2 thumbs down at this point

here comes the conspirency(sp?) theory.... lol

I think the goverment had a part in the gas drop...... think about it....... Christmas is coming up, and with prices as high as they were, surely people were not going to spend as much on gifts as usual...... and alot of companies eithor make it or break it during these two months.....

Watch, after Christmas, the gas prices will rise again, maybe not as fast as they did originally, but by next spring/summer, I bet they will be back at where they were last month... if not higher.......

And, as for the F4i cage, I have been running FI since day one, and also have been running a F4i since 2003..... no problems getting my cage bolted up..... I just made sure to keep everything loose, until all bolts were in place and threaded, and then tightened everything up.......... worked fine.
