i had the same problem also but there's a way to put it on that you dont have to take the bolt out, put the sliders on first, bolt the loop on and push it back, its gonna hit the first part of the header, take a mallet and hit the loop pushing it backwards. this will knock it into the notch in the header and fit into position.

i had the same pr0blem, mines a CA model . I hit mine back and took the bolt out thats on the bottom of the header behind the oil pan. i take it off and put it on with no pr0blems. 1 yr of hardcore abuse and this cage has still held up!
