Re: How was the first (bigbike) stuntrider of the world?

This response what I had waiting for! I met ARTo Nyquist personally in the bomber weekend this summer. Ha started stunts in 1979 on a z1300. A really skilled rider and a pretty good face.
Probably the first professional stuntrdier of the world.
He made a lot of shows on formule 1 races all over Europe. His speciality was writing with the back tire the name of the track onto the asphalt.

:YEAH

1000 RR it sounds dangerous. A Policeman on an 1000 RR? Suicide mind...
Did you heard that ghostrider is a policeman?
Download the new GR 4trailer: http://swear.1g.fi/files/GR_4_Trailer.zip
I am appearing in it too... :YEAH

Nyqvist also did 12 o'clock wheelies, rode backwards and everything else with his Kawasaki Z1300.

Re: How was the first (bigbike) stuntrider of the world?

Doug Domokus is a true OG stunt rider, used to ride wheelies down steps of huge arena shows to enter into his shows....i actually met a guy that was really good friends with him and lives a couple towns away from me, he had a bike set up just like his, doug's bike had all sorts of gizmo's on it!

Holy ****! These pictures are pretty good. I saw Tane Tammela in the bomber DVD. There were some black-white footages from the past. Everything seemed different as today. It was in the age of hippies. :YEAH

What could be the inspiration of these peoples to make a vertcial wheelie ages ago? Why did they do that?

Re: How was the first (bigbike) stuntrider of the world?

I understand your standpoint, I know the situation, altough I'm an euro stunter. When an absolutely new face comin from an other part of the world and do the same as the local guys, it can happend that the judges find the new guy unusual and give larger points. But please remember the absolut clear style of Pfeiffer or Farias, do you able to find any mistake in it? When you make a highchair no hander is not enough for the success, you have to do perfectly everything other.
