Damper Feeling

Got the chance to ride a Gixxer 6 with a GPR steering damper....

When I was riding (slow speeds didn't get to go fast) it felt like it was a baot on the ocean... swaying back and fourth is that a normal feeling?

Just curious because this was the damper, GPR, that I was going to get and I was wondering if thats common of all dampers or maybe I'm doing something wrong.

At slow speeds you have to have turned down to 5 or 6 anything above that makes if feel that way. I ride at 5 most of the time and only turn it up if I need too.
