Race Track Time - PLEASE HELP ME
Race Track Time - PLEASE HELP ME
Recently, I met with the Portland International raceway manager in Portland, Oregon and got him to approve stunting at the track in a few designated areas during there weekend drags. This was huge deal as Oregon and southern washington have no where legal to practice our stunts. During our conversation he had only one catch and that was our crew has to go out and purchase insurance that will cover the property damage that may be done to the track if something bad were to happen. Apparently, this is a real common and most the organization that go out on the track and other events carry this kind of insurance. The Track manager said that there was only a few insurance company’s that insure race track stuff like ours and suggested that we go through a company called KK.
So…. My question to all of you is… Did you have to get special insurance when you went out on the track to stunt? If so, how did you get the insurance setup? What track do you stunt at may I contact someone? Any suggestions would help cause I’m trying to get this ball rolling A.S.A.P!!!!
Thanks!!!

Re: Race Track Time - PLEASE HELP ME
wouldn't personall liability insurance cover that. In mass everyone has to have insurance, and it covers property damage to other people=s property up to 100k. I would think that if everyone had that on their bike and could prove it it should be fine.
What could really happen on the track though, bust a jersey barrier or something?

They require us to carry this sort of insurance and from what I've gathered thus far it's rather common. I was anticipating to get a hold of some other people that have stunted at the track and see what loops holes they had to go through to get the track to let them.
