i keep hearin tank slapper all the time.....i think i did one a few weeks ago, i was comin down from trying a staggered stand up, and the handlebars like went crazy, and somehow i managed to stay up but i was doin about 80 and i thought i was gonna die man, is that a tank slapper, the bars and wheel just turnin back and forth like crazy?

i dont ride with stunters, so i just do my own **** and come on here and try and find out what i did.....

 

you are correct. The bike starts to "tank slap"

get a steering dampner and that will help

Yeah, 500 bux is WAY worth saving when you crash on a TS again. Be careful dog, make your bike solid or else you can get hurt out there. Make sure that your bars are STRAIGHT when you are landing next time.

I hate hearing when someone gets hurt so man up kid and be safe. Mad kids died the past two weeks in CT so don't be a statistic.

yeah i searched aronud, if i but a new one im gettin that gpr green one that matches n ****, found it for 440 free shipping.....so once i buy books for this school term n pay my bills, we'll see if i got the money, but yeah i def wanna get one cause that tank slapper a few weeks ago scared the sh*t outta me i was like WTF ARE YOU DOING BIKE?!?!?! but it was on my rf900 not my zx6r, but i sold the 900 so the 6r needs one

 

440 is too expensive....got my red GPR for like 325 from www.starcycle.com, or www.pipecity.com, or www.parts411.com, or dennis kirk or somin. Shop around and find a better price, I always do, and for some reason I have more stuff with less money than most of my friends......but those fools pay overnight shipping on everything...........1- 2" bolt $3.00, overnight form Australia 5 gazillion dollars!!! ask for shipped prices and a tracking number...and you're set
