Hey fellas, I posted this question on .net but it got shutdown before I could check for a reply.

What gearing do you guys run? I thought I had read before that it was 3 down/3 up. I need some input before I go order anything, how is it for 12's, highchairs, standups,etc.?

Any help appreciated, thanks in advance.

yo Kyle what up?! I'm runnin' 2down/2up and Mellen and Brian are 3down/2up.....I would say go 2 or 3 down in the front and see how you like it (front sprokets are CHEAP), then go from there......but don't go any more than 3 down up front or you'll start draggin' your chain on your swing arm all the time.

Brian and I are 3up/3down.....works pretty good. 1st gear is good for doing 12's....pretty much gotta do everything else in 2nd. It comes right up in the high chair in 2nd without even clutching it.....plus it makes for some fun 6th gear freeway wheelies!!!!

 

Hey guys, thanks for the info. I guess I'll try 2 down and go from there. Does the stock chain still work OK?

Gotta get those 12's down, hopefully gearing down will help. Stock gearing wont go below 15mph, it wants to stall kinda.
