no, bangin on the limiter with no load on the engine is probably the worst thing you can do to it other than run it without oil or water.

also how hard are these to install yourself? ive never done motorcylce work, only car stuff?

Ive had one on my 929 4 about 2 years now ever since i blew my engine back in 03.Red lite never comes on now bar tricks for blocks no prob. Well worth the money,i paid like $150 for mine.

I Will Message Everyone Thats Interested And Sell The F4i Pickup System For 69 Dollars Shipped To The First 15 People That Buy One. Not Too Difficult To Install, Drop The Exhaust And Oil Pan, Install The System. You Will Need Gasket Sealer (ex. Honda-bond, Yama-bond, Etc.).

please be advised that we are NOT saying it is completely safe to bang the limiter by installing the pickup. It is not safe to bang the limiter with both wheels on the ground. You WILL NOT be starving the bike for oil, but let it be known banging the limiter with no load (clutch pulled in, neutral, etc.) is still bad for the engine.
