Question about a cage!!!!!

I dont know if this sounds stupid but... I just bought a custom bike and I am curious what to do about protecting it. I am not a stunter by no means but I can do a decent amount of shiat. The bike has 3 different candy colors from House of Color, chrome frame, wheels etc.. I know if I lay this thing down, im screwed B/C I cant match the paint on it all that well.
Would you put a nice chrome or black cage on a bike that you really dont stunt all that much. I just wanted to know what evrything thought about it..

I hope this doesnt sound too dumb.. Just curious to hear everyones

Re: Question about a cage!!!!!

This is definatly where MXD's track cage should be put!!! Cage looks freakin sweet to begin with and would protect the bike enough to not scratch it if you go down in a corner or something... No garentees it'll be protected from a wheelie crash but my bet would be that it would be protected fairly well.

www.mxdcages.com If its not goin to be stunted then dont get a full cage cause you wont be able to have as much fun in the twisties

What kinda bike by the way any pics?

I thought my bike was to minty/pretty to stunt too when i first got it. 2 days later i was attempting wheelies (first bike). Then 5 months later looped it.

Now its getting the spray paint speacial

Oh yea and MXD's track cage comes in Chrome as well, so it'd fit your bike oohhhhh so sweet

Re: Question about a cage!!!!!

honestly, i dont know how well the track cage will keep the upper plastics and **** off the ground. looks like it will roll onto the upper. its a cool cage no doubt, but i think its more for keeping your motor and cases in one piece. maybe MXD can answer this.

I have a 905 because i stunt. But i would suggest a Freestyle Ingenuity because its low profile, and it has extended sliders to keep the most stuff off the ground. Ive had a FI cage, believe me it keeps every thing off the ground.

Keep in mind every one on this thread, he needs to keep as much off the ground as possible. Ive seen many custom bikes with FI's painted to match, or chromed and they look tight. When i had mine, my bike was black, and you could barely notice it.

Re: Question about a cage!!!!!

I will definately check with MXD for the area it covers in a lay down.. I appreciate your PM canvas, good looking out.. I just didnt want to go and put a cage on my bike making it look like im a stunter, I am by no means. I know a guy like that, his bike looks like he does shiat, but the only thing he is good at is knocking it over and he thinks he;s a stunter... WTF??
Thanks again for all your help.. SL Rocks!!! :YEAH

Re: Question about a cage!!!!!

Whatever cage you end up getting... CHROME it out on a bike like yours. If you got stuff chromed already, then a chrome cage will just add to the bling bling.
