brake pedal no Up action? issue?

Since being in MI and snow is all over the place, I'm doing a once over on the bike. I never noticed it b4 but my rear brake pedal doesn;t come back up. It could be.

1. Too Tight w. the bolt and need new washers?
2. New Spring?

I was working on NH towards the end of the season. You think this could be an issue with the rear pedal not coming back up to it';s original position?

I guess what I'm trying to say is with that I don't have the play. It's on the brake or off the brake. No in between.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Simple first...check your fluid. Loss of pressure due to air in the lines can cause that. Are the pads still in position? Is the little spring that pulls it up connected, rusted etc.?

You know. I never checked the rear fluid for air (enough fluid though). I just assumed that if it worked and locked up the wheel. I was good to go.

I'll check the other stuff and repost.

Found out it was lacking one washer on the inside. So the pedal was just getting pinched in there when I tighten the 14mm bolt to the peg.

I did my brakes for the first time about 2 months ago. The rear brake on an '01 Gixxer 6 is like a damn puzzle. Took longer to put that thing back together than to do the rest of the job.

Re: brake pedal no Up action? issue?

it is simple to fix.......take the foot peg and brake lever off and clean the inside of the lever and were it rides on the peg. put some grease on them and slap it back together....mine did the same thing, it's just hanging up..
