throttle during twelve?

I've heard alot about what to do with the brake while peforming this stunt but never really heard too much about how to properly handle/use the gas. I've heard some make fine adjustments while others hold it at a constant. What do you do? Also how much throttle is given while you are up there?
I try to get it to a point where I am not using much throttle and holding it pretty constant..just modulating the brake to keep it at or past the balance point. For me being on/off the throttle and brake made it difficult to be smooth.
You can use the throttle but it's a lot harder. If you watch the earlier vids of cats doing 12s they were on and off the throttle. The bikes would sway and jerk around a lot as a result. It's a lot harder to keep it going that way. I'd say it actually is a lot easier to just keep your throttle hand steady and use the brake to let the power on and off. The bike goes straighter this way. The trick is to know how much throttle and clutch to use to pop it up just right almost passed the balance point. The only way to learn that is to keep doing it until you get it. When I do slow weelies on a quad or dirt bike I goose the throttle and don't even use the brake. It's a lot easier to do it that way on an underpowered bike. But on a RR I gotta use the brake. I'm hoping to get coasters down this summer. Thats's gonna take some work!

To do no throttle hand tricks ur idle has to be turned up, you can use an idle adjust or some guys just turn their choke on, which is really just a higher idle on FI bikes.
Some guys like to sloe roll with a higher idle too.

assists choppy throttle hands and makes u rely on the brake
i.e. setting your idle to 4k, is essentially the same as holding your wrist at exactly 4k ....therefore smoothin out wheelies
etc....
