Not only is it dumb, but it sets a trend for others to do the same.

so what? It only takes one mistake....and everyone makes mistakes sometime.

Just seems stupid to me. Anyway, back to my question...why?

 

i wear my helmet all the time so im not siding with anyone....but let me ask u a question...is what they do with their life ur decision?...NO..case closed

and if other ppl see it and wanna do the same.....again its not ur life so dont worry about it...

 

i always rock my helmet even when im just riding around not stunting. i dont think i ever rode without it

 

You misunderstand my intent...I am not saying they shouldnt be able to, or that it is my decision...I am just wondering why so many don't wear a helmet.
I think its idiotic, but obviously they dont....I wanna know what their thoughts are.
Hell, maybe they'll convince me to not wear my lid

For some reason I like to wear my helm when riding, it makes me alot more comfortable than without one.

 

I like my helmet to keep my headphones on.

 

when you say things like, Just seems stupid to me, or I think its idiotic. people will argue with you and state there personal feeling too. it all comes down to choice. in some states its a law ad in some it isnt. some people feel they got it on lock and some feel they will fall and hit there head. its good to be concerned for other stunters. but try not to call names, its not nice

 

It's not a matter of whether or not you should wear a helmet because we all know why you should wear it. The question is, why DON'T you wear it? Is it because you're so full of yourself that you have to practice without a helmet so people can see your face, or is it because you just can't be bothered by an extra 2 pounds of weight on your head?

 

OK in my lovely state of Florida helmets are not required head gear. As for myself it all depends on what mood or state of mind I'm in to wear it or not. If its 96 and sunny chances are I'm not going to wear it. There is a certain freedom involved in not wearing a helmet. I guess just try riding around and see if you like it. I mean I hear better and stuff but I just really like the wind in my hair.

 

I live in a repressive state so I have to rock a helmet, but I think I would anyways. Head trauma is no joke, I fell down some stairs in my house when I was drunk last year and I wasn't right for months. It made me stutter for a while, scared the hell out of me. I thought I was going to be retarded for life and wouldn't be able to pull girlies anymore. It was scarrryyyy, but luckily some of them like to play nurse
I'm back to 100% now but I've been a lot more careful with the dome ever since.

 

Here in missouri by law you have to wear one,but ive been in closed lots,or over in IL and popped my lid off for a little while and i dont feel comfortable with it off,i dont really take riders that never where their helmet seriously...so i respect people more that wear them all the time....it only takes 10 seconds to strap on,isnt it worth it when it could save your whole life?

 

It's simple..... Riders who don't wear helmets obviously have nothing to protect.

theres a much greater chance of a stunter getting hurt without a lid,and it does set a trend for other not to wear their helmet,im only 17 but im smart enough to protect myself when im doing something dangerous..people may think you look cool with no lid but when ever i see someone doing **** with one off it makes me nervous,i dont want to see a felllow rider die infront of me,thats why i always keep my lid on and tell everyone else to keep their lid on.

 

I can ride without a lid on, i just feel......naakid.
Even when i ride across the street to get gass, i dont fell right, i dont know how you guys do it.

 

I'm not a great stunter, so in the hope that one day I might be, I think I'll keep wearig mine. I've had 3 crashes in the last 12 months and every time I've hit my head (helmet) on the ground.

 

not true, in fact in the state of florida, your MORE likely to die if your wearing a helmet!

AHAHAH Everyone should read that thread on Suzuki Forums..... The first guy's statistics just got RIPPED apart by everyone else....

Sometimes I wear my lid and sometimes I don't.... Choice is good and I know the consequences. My life is my responsibility, so if I die from not wearing a helmet, there's nobody to blame but me. BUT I'LL BE DEAD ANYWAYS!!! AHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHHA
