Question Can you cover plates with chain lube?

I saw over at starboyz.com that you can cover up your plate by spraying chain lube on it and letting **** build up on the plate. Has anyone ever tried this? Does it work?

Why go through that long process . If your goal if to make the tag Non-Legible then just put mud on it and let it dry. Either way, if a cop pulls you over he can still site you for your tag not being legible. If your purpose is to run then just stuff the tag in your trunk. If you get pulled over just tell the cop it just fell off and you are on your way to put it back on .
