Re: our vids premiered at the local PD yesterday

That happened to me like 5 years ago when I first started putting video's of me doing wheelies and my Z laying rubber on the street on the internet. A local cop came to my house and said they had all the video's saved on thier computer at the station and that they were gonna watch out for me, nothing ever happened, dont sweat it.

Re: our vids premiered at the local PD yesterday

Hi, someone posted the link to this message on our site at www.nbriders.ca , just thought I'd let you know we had an incident where video from our site was used as evidence against someone in court. They tried to seize his bike saying it was unsafe and showed him doing numerous stunts. However after about 6 months the case was thrown out of court.

It was good that they ruled the evidence was too inconclusive but they still managed to seize his machine for the duration of the trial. So weather you can be convicted of something because of something seen on the internet is yet to be determined, but obviously the Popo have no problem submitting it.

Its probably only a matter of time before a judge accepts it somewhere.

Due to all this the admin removed all video from the site, and once the case was thrown out of court we once again put it back up, well with less than 3 months of new video on the site, (this time in private forums where only people we knew personally could access them) the Popo were once again expressing interest in the site.

Now all private forums and video have been removed once again, it seems like theres a trend evolving here.

Sound sliek how the Starboyz got their start...

From what I've read and seen on the news, the police can't charge you from video footage for minor traffic offenses and such.

ftp, cops cant do anything unless they SEE you doing it, or they have someone who is willing to testify that they SAW you doing wheelies.

even if you can see the plates, you are all set.

ftp, just be smart...

when in doubt, throttle out!

dude, dont worry about it. FTP, the cant do anything unless they see you doing something wrong, for minor traffic offenses. its like all of the street racing videos and documentaries, cops cant do anything after the fact. think of it like this: everyone knows what the gumball run is, right? well they get numerous tickets while being filmed. cops cant watch the video and be like: oh, well i missed him doing 220 but i got him doing 190, so im going to be a dick and right him another ticket and press charges......its freedom of constitution...unless u have committed a henious crime ( and doing wheelies is not) then you cant be charged for the type of traffic infraction even if they want to.

Re: our vids premiered at the local PD yesterday

"Code 431.322.12 of the Internet Privacy Act signed by Bill Clinton in 1995" is cited at the main page or in the disclaimer portion of many Web sites which are running criminal enterprises and offering illegal items.

The Internet Privacy Act does not exist!

Additionally, former U, S. President William Jefferson Clinton never signed into law any legislation which in any manner restricts anyone's access to Web sites selling illegal items. No similar law exists anywhere in the world. There is no law which in any way prohibits or restricts instituting criminal charges or litigation against such sites based upon a site's posting of this imaginary act.. Regardless of a posting of this fictitious act, any information obtained from these sites may be used by law enforcement and trademark holders for prosecution and litigation purposes.

Every Web site we have visited which displays this spurious statement has been conducting criminal activities, usually offering illegal counterfeit products or illegal drugs. In most cases, persons buying such illegal replicas in quantity (or buying illegal drugs) from these sites can be criminally prosecuted and sued for damages.

A typical example of a statement appearing on these sites erroneously claiming protection from this fictitious act is as follows:

If you are affiliated with any government, police, anti-piracy group or other related group or working for Adidas, Manolo Blahnik, Converse, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Burberry, Hermes, Prada, Air Jordan, Nike, Timberland, Gucci, Cartier, Oakley either directly or indirectly, or any other related group, or were formally a worker, you CANNOT enter these web pages, links, nor access any of its files and you cannot view any of the HTML files. If in fact you are affiliated or were affiliated with the above said companies, by entering this site you are not agreeing to these terms and you are violating code 431.322.12 of the Internet Privacy Act signed by Bill Clinton in 1995 and that means that you CANNOT threaten our ISP(s) or any person(s) or company storing these files, and cannot prosecute any person(s) affiliated with this website.

Statements such as the one above provide absolutely no legal protection for the criminals operating the Web site, the ISP or the Web site customers. It should be obvious to even the most naïve surfers that statements of this ilk clearly indicate that goods being offered at these sites are illegal and that by purchasing such items the surfers may be engaging in criminal activity and may, themselves, be tracked and prosecuted.

i was about to say to check the law in your state. in FL they can use your video against you, provided they can prove its you. got no tag and helmet on, they can't prove diddly but they can make it hell for ya. i change colors on my bike about once a year anyway makes it real hard for 'em.

That's exactly the thing we are NOT selling these vids.. I mean COME ON do u see the StarBoyz gettin arrested and having charges brought against them for makin thousands from their DVD's.. Which INCLUDE maybe law violations, including Felony Evasion from the police... So in OHIO i'm guessin they can't do a damn thing... Besides "most" of our video was shot in a parking lot or a road with NO traffic....

The cops can definatly make your life hell! After Mirror Image Vol 1 dropped, I got a bunch of tickets while I was loading a four wheeler into my truck in my own driveway; charges like not wearing a helmet, opperating a non registerd / insured, no inspection and a few other stupid ones. I was able to beat it in court but it really pissed me off at the moment. OH and that was after getting a letter from the town with 92 singned complaints by the neighbors ...
this is just one of the many annoying things that go along with all this.
