Re: summer crash stories

well none of mine were to horrible, but i had a interesting learning summer haha.

1st "crash" happend like a week after i got my bike, hit some freakin sand pulling into my driveway and just washed out, minor scratches on the cowl.

2nd crash happend when i decided to ramp my CBR out of a skatepark, landed in the grass my dumbass pulled the front break and front washed out again, yay for more scratches haha.

3rd was my recent 1st gear standup Loop at about 25 MPH, pulled it up from a dead stop and rode it for about 20 ft befor my pipe scraped and tossed me off the bike, broke quite a few things on that move haha.

*more to come next season*

Re: summer crash stories

One friend went 12-1 on a worked gixx 1000 and just looped it hard. Nasty night
Another friend actually came down off like a BS 10oclock, drove 100 more feet, someone stoppd in front of them and now the front of his bike is no more.
Oh and my 3rd friend looped his bike 7 days after getting it, but hes back.

Re: summer crash stories

A buncha close calls.. but only went down once with my old SV.. (I sold it a couple weeks ago). okay so I lie.. went down 4 times.

1) At a stoplight tapped it into first gear while playing the drums on the tank.. fell over and got laughed at for hours... no days... no they are stilll laughing at me.

2) Same thing AGAIN. ( I really got into my little beat)

3) Ran out of gas in a low corner and fell over/slid a bit.

4) Entered a corner @ about 110 kms decided I wasnt leaning enough to make it.. so then decided to drive up a driveway onto some grass and 'dissapear' from my boys... It was funny in my mind @ the time.. then I realized I was still going about 50kms which was a little speedy for the grass.. touched the front break ever so gently and went down hard.

hehe I can't wait to smash up my new bike.

Nice man, I've always wanted to ramp my bike but I can't find a skatepark around here without a fence, I rode around in one and just cruised over a couple of the little bumps, the left, kids wanted me to hit the 4 foot flybox and couldn't understand why I wouldn't.

Re: summer crash stories

1. Was trying skitchin for the 2nd time, got down onto the road, was goin good for a few seconds, then got spook'd, went to put my foot back up on the peg, Missed the peg, then here comes the big mistake i looked down to see where my foot needed to be. bike started weavin, next thing i knew i was slidin down the road on my knees. one of those things i shouldn't have been tryin, and should have consulted people that know how to do it correctly, before i tried it. I just figured i'd figure it out myself

2.was ridin a 2nd gear sitdown up a hill, and the hill hump'd at the top, so when i hit the top, I looped at about 50.

road rash all over, and tore some tendons in my foot. Bike was ok, it was the day after i got my FI cage put on

Ive ramped my bike numerous times but that time i guess i got some serious air, i was probably 2 1/2 ft off the ground a couple of the guys said lol. Didnt feel good at all on the suspension of the bike but hey ya gotta ride these fockers lol.

Still trying to figure out why i needed to ramp out instead of just riding out like all the other guys did. Oh well the skaters thought it was funny to see a guy on a sportbike eat **** lol. I sprained the **** outa my left knee on that move too.

Re: summer crash stories

flipped a 40 mph stoppie. bike landed on me so all i had was some briuses, and a little rash..thankyou Leather!!!.....then low sided 10 seconds after leaving the bar one night...thanks again to the leather, but my finger didnt fare so well, (yes i had gloves on), my clutch lever caught my little finger and tore a chunk out of it, its still not right to this day...
