Re: need bike and insurance

Insurance only covers a third party anyway, or theft.. so I'm not too worried about what I do and don't state.. my bikes standard anyway really..

i mean little things like where you keep it, if you go to work on it, if it is alarmed or chained up.

if you say its chained and its nicked without a chain on it they can be arsey. they even wonted to know what chain i had to lock it up with.
trust me tell them EVERYTHIN straight away

if it gets stolen from your house and you said it was in a garage but isnt then u go to your nearest police station and say it was stolen out side your nans house whilst visiting

All I've told them is that it's garaged (which it is when at home) and that it's got an alarm (which it has) cant see anything else i need to tell them.

Re: need bike and insurance

I agree with Sparks, fully comp is pointless. At least at a young age anyway, always seemed to double the premium when I asked for a quote. Far better off going for TPFT and paying for any damage that MIGHT happen rather than paying out a shedload on FC only for it to increase next year if you make a claim.

As for 400's, the ZXR400 and, for a while, the VFR400 were officially imported though insurance may be high on anything sporty. Just gotta keep ringing round getting quotes and try to make the ba$tard$ fight among themselves as all the greedy swines want your cash.

Re: need bike and insurance

Thinking about it... get a CB500!!!! Loads of people use them in France, 1) it's a honda 2) it's a twin so good to learn on etc... you can do any type of stunts on them, just look at Stunt Lyon lot as they all used to have CB5's and half of them still do!!!

Cheap, cheap to insure, easy to get parts, unbeatable engine wise and hold up well to crashing, you can also get crash bars for like £40 standard item in UK...

I wanted a CB500 back when I still had the supermoto but couldn't afford it at the time until I gave up supermoto to go stunting full time bike..!

Get a CB5

Get a CB5

I have to agree with sparks there and rekon you should get a cb 500
theres some guys that get down the ace who prove that the cb is more than up to the job
plus there where raced in the cb 500 cup for a few years so there are some good exhausts around etc

Re: need bike and insurance

You can get a CB5 for around £700 if you're patient and look about... and they're far far better bikes for stunting.
