and switched the main jet to #60. Runs good after tuning the carb out but I have to say I really really miss the stock sound. That sounds weird I'm sure but seriously the sound a stock fiddy makes is very distinct. and now my bike doesnt even sound close its actually a fair amount louder overall. Still not sure if I like it..

put the stock air filter back on your bike, it will run better and It will have more torque

I been thginking about it. It does have a bit more top end though. And I also found out it takes longer to warm the engine up too. I thought it was messed up last night I started it and it took it a good 5-8 minutes to get where it was warmed up enough to run right. It never took that long stock. The down side is I relocated my key to the left side hole by the engine mount and I added some frame braces and I am not sure if the stock box will fit back in there.. I am gonna leave it for a bit I think just to see if it grows on me..

I pulled my filter completely off my 22mm carb and I swear It ran like a banshee. NOt a good idea though, I was just checkin it out. Wouldn't want the old engine to ingest a pebble.

Re: So I switched to the Twin Air foam filter...

now that I have rode it with it on for a couple days its cool. The sound is louder and different but not so bad anymore and I have learned to deal with the warm up time..

it has a little more pep on the top end I will leave it. Plus the stock unit won't fit with out modification to it.

the air filter debate is a long running one as far as I can tell. its about torn down the middle from all the searching I did on the forum when I was looking at parts and comments regarding the air filters. Half say its a good mod half don't. Kinda comes down to what you yourself think. I had motives with relocating the key and the frame braces the stock box was too big. I held it up to my bike last night and the stocker doesn't look like it will fit back on right..

Just my

I was about to say you will get used to it, and apperantly you already have, I was doubting my k&n at first too. You just get used to that aftermarket filter sound.

Move that key if you want it takes like 10 minutes
