so i've had my 50's for like a month now and there fun as hell but i'm ready for some upgrades can you guys help me out.

how can i lift the bike? do i need new forks or longer tubes, springs?

i'm getting big bar kits and skid plates first (a couple weeks)!

what are fork stiffeners?

what are affordable mods for power?

does anyone have the 4 speed clutch kit? how is it?

88cc kit or all out for the 107?

i was thinking BBR on the bar kit.

I put the four speed in. With one more tooth on the front sproket, the 3rd gear is the same as stock. 4th is like an overdrive. As for the installation, you can plan on touching every single peice of the engine. So at that point, you might as well throw in a stroker crank and high volume oil pump.

 

for more power start off with either an atc 70 motor,(if you want automatic trans) or an xl,ct,or sl70 motor,(if you want manual 4 speed) ive seen all the add on trannys and eventually they break even the takegawa's
the motors are getting harder to find but they are worth the investment
mine is a powroll 103 set up i run zb50 triples and 70 forks ,a 70 swingarm(4 inches longer) and cr 80 rear piggback shocks mine is a 93 z
you can do most of all of this on your xr too just using a newer xr70 for the swingarm due to the single shock set up

...what I said ........the 4 speeds are nice look for one out of a ct 70 and save some cash the same for the clutch
just remember a 70 and 50 motor uses the same parts

 

save some cash go to your local bmx shop pick up some bars

buy a top clamp of e-bay and a throtle tube
