MR50 elsinore forks Clamps??

I just bought a set of forks off of a honda mr50 elsinore. I know some of you have these forks on your fiddyz, I need to know what Ill need to get to make them work on my bike. I have a factory metals upper tripple clamp that I used on the stock forks with bmx bars. Will I be able to use this clamp, and just get a different lower tripple, or do I need a new set of upper and lower tripple clamps?
Also what do I need to do to the forks to hook up the front brakes??

Good to hear looked pretty rough bro! I been all over the net lookin for them damn forks and it looks like im about a year late! Every where I look that I find a pair for sale was from 2003 and they were all under $25 bucks!! :o talk about sucky! Im on the hunt now.. I gotta local monthly swap meet here I have added them to the list! If you remember about how much was the 70 axle?? Im trying to estimate what the total cost would be to swap out. And did you change anything in the rear to level it out height wise? Got any other tech tutorials you put together? Keep up the good work man!

u can use a Z50 axle also. it just has to be like 7.25" long with a 12mm diameter. i run a nishock in the back and it sits perfectly. i rode it for like a week with the stock shock and it was totally chopper style. i dont have any other tech stuff complete yet. been way too busy. got a few things in the works though. thanx again for the props.

Re: MR50 elsinore forks Clamps??

PM from me as well S&M.

Hey Chazz what kinda $$$ we talking? Im deffinately going to be trying to piece meal together me a set of these forks. Just too damn smooth. My main concern however is cost. Let us know what you would be looking at for costs on one of these setups. I am assuming it the top clamp would have the bar clamp and all as one piece or you looking at seperates for the triple and bar clamp?

Re: MR50 elsinore forks Clamps??

I just ordered my springs and seals today. The springs were $26.00 shipped.
The seals were $12.12 shipped. I have so far a total of $73.62, counting the price for the forks off of ebay 35.50. I'm having all the milling and drilling done tonight. My axle should be on its way. Just need to figure out what to do about a tripple clamp. Any ideas????

I am a poor Cheap Bastard so the cheaper the better. I have to ask my friend who would be making them how much. I thought I would just make one similar to the BBR clamp but for the MR50 forks. I will let you guys know.
