Spring or Complete shock??

Should i buy just a stiff spring or get one of the i shox complete shock? Im trying to get into TMGP and run on the track "Mini GP" Just wandering if i should just throw on a spring or save up a lil cash and get a whole shock. It will be on a 88cc bike.

I haven't rode on a full shock to compare, but I put in a stiff spring and I love it.

Re: Spring or Complete shock??

Im running a HD spring too. Its not bad, but a shock/spring combo will provide a much better, smoother and more controlable ride. Compression and rebound that is correctly valved to match the spring will make a huge difference, you wont get the "bounce" that you get from an HD spring on a stock shock.

The shocks with rebound and compression adjustablility will allow you to dial the shock in even better.

yea the spring is nice and a lot cheaper. If you got the cash i go for full shock. Because you will not get that bounce that you get with just a bigger spring!

Re: Spring or Complete shock??

^^^you may want to think about getting atleast some stiff springs up front to balance out the ishock. it's gonna raise your bike in the rear atleast 2in. i put on an atomic 50's shock, and my front was waaaaaaay to low, so i slapped on some stiff spings, and it balanced it out nicely! just my
