another fork question

i checked dealer cost on red baron chromoly fork lowers, turns out it would be $88 to replace the ones and fix teh bushing problem i have w/ slop. someone said i would NEED a new swingarm, what do yall thing?

Nah you dont need a new swing arm if it is still good and not bent. But if you do get the red baron fork lowers then your going to need to buy a taller shock for the back, so it will be even with the front. I would get the I-shock or the Works performance shock. Just take a look at some fifty sites for some shocks. :YEAH

to have a suspension work well you must have the correct geometry so say you had 1 inch longer forks you would need a 1 inch longer swingarm so they wil work together and not against

Get some mr50 forks and an I-shock. It is only like $250 total and deffinately worth it in the long run.

check ebay. You should be able to get a set of mr50 forks for less than $75. You'll also need springs and seals, but those are less than $30 total. Fab5fiddy did a how to somewhere on how to do the swap.

i already have an I-shock and stiffer springs. think it will be ok w/ the new lowers?

that should be fine, but you will probably need new bushings too.
