Anyone have any suggestions on what light bore kit would work??
you wont need heavery clutch springs

put every thing back to stock even your pipe and air box mods, you will lose torque

I've tried every thing to gain hp's and torque nothing works best then all stock with the light bore
the power is just so usable

weedracer, what size BB kit do you recommend? With or without cam? How much low end do you think I will loose with my existing mods?

Re: camshafts ????

dood, u will not loose ANYTHING with a big bore. i dont care what your combo is. the only way u will lose is if its installed incorrectly. 88 cam and carb will double if not triple your horsepower. its a whole new monster.

I feal when you open up the pipe and air box, you make the power more broad,
when you keep every thing stock, it's so torque down low its great for supper slow 1st gear wheelies

Re: camshafts ????

depends on the grind of the cam
top end or bottom end you can get both style cams
but you have to know what grind you want
and you can custom order them IF you gots the cash
megacycle cams makes em
http://www.megacyclecams.com/
i think they make em for everyone if im not mistaken
with what you have done add the inner rotor kit and youll be happier than with a cam

Re: camshafts ????

Thanks for the article Z50!! I'ts been quite a few years since I was in mechanics school and its great to refresh some of that lost knowledge.
I'm trying to remember some of these principles, I just have to remember I'm dealing with a little 2.5HP engine. A little change makes a big diffenece, somtimes good, sometimes bad.

Re: camshafts ????

ZFiddy, An inner rotor kit will be less weight on the crank to make it rev quicker right? Whould less flywheel mass make you loose bottom end ?
Wheres a good place to get a resonably priced, descent quality rotor kit?
Is there any mods you have to make to run it?

if your going to race on dirt on on hot top get it

but if you just want to stunt they suck

get the 88 light bore keep everything stock, the torque is allways there
