Hillbilly Horsepower
Hillbilly Horsepower
Hillbilly Air Induction
Well Just Swapped The Pipes In Sink Fer New Ones
And I Cyphered Out How I Could Use Them There Used Sink Parts On My Lil Z 50
The Gain Was A Lil Over A 1 Mph
No Jets Were Changed
Volumetric Efficiency(ve) Is Used To Describe The Amount
Of Fuel/air In The Cylinder In Relation To Regular Atmospheric Pressure
Basically,volumetric Efficiency Is Affected
By Your Carb, Intake Manifold(both Sides Of The Carb Are Considered) ,exhaust, And Cam Set Up
All Of These Items Affect The Flow Of The Fuel/air Mixture
Into The Cylinder
The More Fuel/air Mixture In The Cylinder
The More Power You Can Make
This Mod Increases Volumetric Effiecncy
I Had A Carb Boot I Used But You Could Use
A Radiator Hose
The Idea Behind It Is To Get The Air Moving Together B4 It Gets To The Carb, with Just A Filter At The Back Of The Carb The Air Has No Velocity
Stock Airbox Has A Velocity Stack On It
Also I Used The P Trap To Wrap Around The Frame For The Induction Part Lil Force Fed Air To Help Out On Top End
And Just The Velocity Of The Air Will Help Bottom By Tons

Re: Hillbilly Horsepower
its facing foward if you look at the pics
it goes from the carb to the back bone of the frame
then wraps around
filter is opposite side of the carb now facing the front

Re: Hillbilly Horsepower
hey i tried this and it works great
mine was falling on its face on top end
now it just keeps on pullin
laugh all you want it works
i like how yall laugh at somethin you dont understand or you didnt think of
if you have a half way new car go open the hood and look at the intake
its the same long intake from the air filter to the plenum
if you know what a plenum is so laugh away you so your inteligence by doing that and fab 5 dont even know about drilling out the oil passage for the big
oil pumps i dont expect he'll know about air velocity
so laugh away

ill be laughin as im passin ya on the back wheel out of a corner on the GAS
anyway do as you like i cant help if you know nadda about how to build a fast motor
like that comment about the oil passage Z i saw that too you can see he sells **** so he bad mouths anything he dont use, hes an "expert at getting every horsepower out of these lil motors", the ones he knows about anyway
the klx110 carb set up is that way kawasaki said it makes an improvement of about 20% through the whole power curve, or steve rice from kawasaki tech does, anyway werks great on mine
ill be waiting for you boys at the finish line
oh and fab i wrenched on bikes for 25 years you got a few more to go to catch up
smokin a fatty and laughin
Re: Hillbilly Horsepower
wow you guys must be gods gift to stuntlife
yes but if your not going over 30+ you just look like a dork
if you are these pro builders lets see some dyno charts with this home made ram air system
ooo but wait I bet you could get it faster, if you could mount a block of dry ice just before your ram air system, dry cold air makes the best hp's right
I like to try and get the best torque out of these four strokes you can't move if you only have hp's

Re: Hillbilly Horsepower
actually weed, not gods gift to antything,
if you look at my intake(in front of the carb)
its about three times longer than stock,a long intake is for bottom end
i. e. torque a short one is for top end.
my stuff is set up for motard type stuff dirttracking
just makes my throttle response quick crisp
doesnt have that hesitation it had with the filter just bolted to the back of the carb
you know about that cold air situation, i was reading where they have a hot vapor induction like a warming chamber, still reading on it so im not well versed
on it yet, apparently you can get more in if its a vapor and squeeze it better
still reading
i just typed in air velocity got this on the search:
