Re: Hillbilly Horsepower
im gonna have to disagree with ya z50 on the oil pump
the stunters dont move enough air across the head, with high compression, the heat is alot greater, so you need the extra oil to help cool it better, but that is if you want your motor to last, thats why they recomend it
if ya dont then dont worry about it
fab im not bashing you im just saying what i see and read
like the difference between an air screw and a fuel screw, carbs 101,you flunked that one and thats really a critical area on hot rod motors
you tell peeps to set their exhaust valve lash @.002 thats not gonna do **** unless you run on top end and then its gonna float the valve at that setting
you know more about it than the engineers at honda?
for a stunt motor to make grunt that wont do it
the key word in your statement is sell.
"y should i sell something to someone when they dont need it??"
i didnt know total number of posts made you smarter than every one else
just because someone disagrees with you or you dont like their idea you rag and laugh at them when you yourself dont know diddley about what the guy is sayin
how could you understand anything about air velocity or cylinder volume when you dont know the difference on a carb between an air screw and a fuel screw?
like i said b4 , i aint raggin on ya
but dont be so quick to rag on others when you dont understand what they are talkin about, parts swappin is one thing, makin the parts you swap work the most efficient is totally different, thats the difference between a parts swapper and a mechanic,
now as far a weed goes i am your god,(j/k) listen and learn something
you dont use a dyno to check cylinder volume or air velocity, which if i remeber correctly was what this post was about, getting the air flowing so the carburator is more efficient
ya mine only goes 30 mph right lol "I like to try and get the best torque out of these four strokes you can't move if you only have hp's" you cant have torque without hp's so your statement is kinda an oxymoron
i never said i was a "pro builder" my family has been in the motorcycle industry
since the 60's inventing the first plastic gas tanks and serated foot pegs for mx bikes, back when the tanks were still steel, and the pegs were rubber
so i have some knowledge of motorcycles and how they work and what makes em faster
if you got a buddie that lives down here send him on by ill let him ride mine,i got a track in my back yard tell him to bring his ride we can bang some bars, be sure its someone you believe so when they tell you mine has plenty of torque and i spanked all over his *** youll believe it. will that settle it for you? spanked by a dork will not look good
talk is cheap, lets ride and find out.

Re: Hillbilly Horsepower
Im Gonna Say This Once More. The Screw On A Stock 50 Carb And A 20mm Kehein Is An Air Screw!!!! In For Less Air, Out For More Air. Simple As That. U Go Ahead And Do What U Want With It. I Really Dont Give A ***.
As Far As The Lash Goes.... I Tell People To Set It At .002" Beacause Thats What The Manual Calls For. U Dont Like That.... Take It Up With The Honda Engineers. I Do This **** Everyday. Any More Lash Will Be Noisy. Period.
If U Dont Like My Advise Dont Listen. Im Here To Help People, Not Steer Them The Wrong Way. We Are Dealing With Little Kids Bikes Here For Gods Sake. Not A Fukking Space Ship. What Do U Want From Me?? Will It Make U Happy If I Sent U Proof Of My Credentials? Get A Life Dood.

i wanted to see if the mods you were talking about gain any thing
I called around to a couple of places and talked about you ram air system and man, every one thanked me for making the laugh on monday morning.
your better of just to lean it out a tad then to go through all that.
you keep talking about hot rods but these are little 4 strokes, just cus you gain in a car does not mean you will gain on the little bike
and o ya I 'm still waiting to learn some thing from you

well callem and ask about velocity stacks cause i think that was the jist of the post for your bottom end your lookin for, not ram air
i dont think you could put that on your bike if you tried anyway cause of the pipe
hey fab i pulled those needles and your 100% percent correct
those are air screws, and so dweebracer will learn something heres how you tell the difference the air screw has a blunt end, a fuel (or pilot screw as kehin calls them) will have a needled end, not blunt. So my bad i didnt go look for myself
another thing for ya dweebracer so's youll know
you can buy k&n filters with velocity stacks made into them
that is the style filter im using now
i was using a pod k&n didnt werk half as well.

Re: Hillbilly Horsepower
velocity stacks make more air go in right
ram air makes more air go in right
hhmmmmmmmmmmm
and that set up z50 has is a tube that wraps around the frame that goes into the carb hhmmmm allmost like a ram air system to me man

The More Fuel/air Mixture In The Cylinder

The Idea Behind It Is To Get The Air Moving Together B4 It Gets To The Carb, with Just A Filter At The Back Of The Carb The Air Has No Velocity
Stock Airbox Has A Velocity Stack On It
Also I Used The P Trap To Wrap Around The Frame For The Induction Part Lil Force Fed Air To Help Out On Top End
And Just The Velocity Of The Air Will Help Bottom By Tons
