air fuel mixture

can anyone tell me which way to turn the screw to make it run leaner for a kawi 110? or a fiddy? and would it be the same on both?

Re: air fuel mixture

actually on
the new carbs its not a air screw
its a fuel screw determining the fuel mixture
by adding or subtracting fuel
in will be less fuel and out will be more fuel
on old carbs(determined by an air screw instead of a fuel screw)
which adds air to the fuel mixture out would be more air and in would be less air the way to tell the difference is where the screw is on the carb
if it is in front of the slide it is a fuel screw, behind it an air screw

Re: air fuel mixture

ok, Z50NATIONALS. u got my gears turnin. i work on the 20mm keihins daily and i know for a fact they are an air screw and the screw is behind the slide like u said. then i went and took a peek at my stock 03' carb. the screw is in front of the slide. so i went downstairs and looked at one i had layin around. i followed the circuitry and sure enough its and AIR screw. so like i said... OUT is LEAN. i dont know what carbs u are speaking of, but to keep the confusion to minimum, all we are concerned about are carbs for our fiddys. u always have to argue with me dont u?
