Just wondering what the top speed on an xr50 is? Whats the top speed on a stock xr with only realistic gearing changes?

stock is like 30 mph thats what the cop sad to me

 

you can gear it to go faster
some of the 50 sites sell smaller rear sprokets
and larger countershaft sprokets

 

fiddys are not all the same speed, we tested this out about a month ago with around 12 fiddys.........you would be shocked........mine was clocked at 40mph and that was STOCK......i now have a pipe and uni filter....bike is now faster.........i have seen fiddys haul major *** and some major slow.......just hope you get a good one i guess............and rider style dose help.....shifting and such.........

Rider weight has a lot to do with it when we're riding bikes that aren't much over 100lbs.

 

my stock went 37mph, had a car next to it testing it

 

mine was clocked tonight at 37mph... compeltley stock with an air filter... thats with 3" tires too

 

mine does 50 mph.......... with major motor work and drastic gear changes.

 

I think this is what makes the most difference in stock 50's..

 

a buddy in his car clocked me going around 30 up a medium sized hill w/ no runway, 35 at the top, and 40 going downhill, i would imagine it tops out on flat ground at a little over 35 you'd need a decent size runway(couple hundred feet+) to get it there

 

My best was 39mph. I weighed about 140 at the time. I might have to test it again to see if the little extra weight effects it much.

 

thats pretty quick for stock

 

my 88 fiddy has a 15T front sprocket and pulls 40mph anyday... ok maybe not up a big hill but it's definitely a lot quicker than stock.

if your 88 is only doing 40 you might wanna rethink things.. heh

45-50 mph 3rd gear woolies here we go.

I can't wait to make the travel from my buddies house to my buddies shop that is like 17 miles on the eway away so it's prolly like 8-11 miles through the city. NOT GOING TO DO IT TIL i GET A BIG BORE AND 4 SPEED THOUGH.

 

You can't really judge it by going next to a car.. gotta use a radar.. it's a whole different ball game

 

So what you guys are saying is they go somewhere between 30 to 40 MPH? Factors are weigh, mods and gear shifting skills?
