K&N or UNI ....I want a new air filter. And will I need to change the jet? If so where do I buy jets from and how much are they?

I like the UNI. Get the 3 inch filter from joker's website. I diddnt have to do any carb adjustments (though I probably should). It has a good sound, noticeable power increase.

The only disadvantage I have is that its a bit harder to start when its cold and it stalled out on me once when I had 3rd gear pinned and riding into some really heavy wind. But then again, I havent touched the carb yet.

 

anybody know i this will also fit a 20mm carb?

 

i've ran k&n then switched to UNI and came to the conclusion that uni is better. I run a 20mm and have never messed with my jetting. the uni is also cheaper ;-)

 

why do you say its better?

 

k&n last longer and doesnt deteriorate and get sucked into the motor
uni is cheaper but doesnt last as long
both are good if maintained properly and oiled properly
only difference really is one is paper element one is foam
i run foam on dirt and paper on street
thats why i have both
