72cc big bore kit?

I know there are several different variants from Fast50's.. one is the one that comes with a cam and everything.. Anyone know how this thing runs compared to the basic 88cc big bore?

http://fast50s.com/cart/customer/pro...&cat=23&page=1

thats the one

Re: 72cc big bore kit?

As long as the motor is going to be apart spend the extra couple of dollars and get the 88cc kit. Seems like a waste otherwise.

Fast 50's motor kits are so overpriced its redicluous. Contact Fab5Fiddy and get a complete 88cc kit from him with cam, 20mm carb and everything for like $275. Its a dragon racing kit just like I have in my Fiddy and I couldn't be happier.

Re: 72cc big bore kit?

Well, from what I hear the 72cc kit from Fast50's with the cam will hang with any standard 88cc kit.

I'm just asking cuz I can get that kit for $100 instead of the regular price of $399

For $100...buy it RIGHT NOW...Thats a great deal !!! .. $399 definately is not.

Keep in mind that that is a high compression kit and YOU MUST use race gas with it. If not you will wreck your motor in no time........

I still think you might be better off with a standard 88cc kit with everything for $275 and you will have lots more torque......For Stunting and general riding you don't need such a high compression ratio. I think that Fast 50's kit, is just made more for top end power.

see above.....that Fast 50's kit is a track only kit.......... Not really a daily use kit.

I find it hard to believe you can get that kit for $100

Thats not true.......

That is a wild looking piston..... I bet it is a 13:1 or more compression ratio.

A lot of those 70cc kits have to be used with a 70cc head because of the dome shaped pistons most kits have.

I would still buy a 88cc kit......

Remember

There is no replacement for displacement

Re: 72cc big bore kit?

You dont have to run race gas with it, you need to run high octane, like pump 93. You run race gas with massive ported and super hot cams and such with it. And Mx racing 4 stroke gas is only 94 octane anyway. And i heard the 72 kit does hang, and maybe faster, than most 88 kits. It doesnt have as much botem end as the 88.

Re: 72cc big bore kit?

just go get a 70 motor and be done with it
anymotorcycle junkyard will have one ,but probably not for a hundred bux
anything over 10:1 needs race gas or hes right itll ping itself apart

Re: 72cc big bore kit?

running any motor with over 9.5:1 compression ratio on 87 octane is asking for trouble. maybe not today but it will happen eventually.

Re: 72cc big bore kit?
