Two brothers is designed for an 88cc kit.I have the chm pipe its fine.IMHO I dont think 50 pipes to a whole hell of alot compared to what they do for big bikes. They do however make it sound like a big bike.Well kinda lol

Re: What aftermarket pipe to get

you're not going to find an answer to "which is the best", that's an opinionated question. iv'e heard really good things about the classic honda ultima pipe, but with it's performance comes a massive db rating.

I'm leaned towards Sano pipe, i've heared one on the net and sounds nice and deep, and heard it has biggest header/can which = best performance? correct? And is the 5-0 pro series same thing as the fmf but diff colors? Thanks

Well yes and no.Ultima has a huge pipe but with a big pipe you lose torque. Thats a bad thing unless you are road racing or doing the motard thing. In other words its all top end.

Re: What aftermarket pipe to get

the ultima pipe by kitaco is the baddest of the bunch, but won't due much for ya unless you have teh super head kit.

for stock or mild big bores the best is teh FMF Titanium for $350, next in line is the DR. D for $250.

fast 50's, sano, sik 50, two bros all suck ***. no real developement or testing done.

If the bike is jetted correctly to match the pipe you won't lose torque, you can actually gain especially with the BIG head.

With that giant Ultima pipe?Maybe so,but look at trails bikes and there pipes. There very small so they can get every bit of torque out of them.Do you run the Ultima pipe?I know a few ppl who have raced them and all say the same thing.Excellent for a 124cc or a big stroker with a superhead. The torque loss it pretty sizeable.although if you have run one then you know first haND.I havent run one on my bike bu tthen again I only have a ported stock head.I really need to change that lol

That fmf/five-0?? titanium pipe is so looking, and my income tax is on its way in so why not go all out and not have to feel bad about it but if its gonna be better then them sano pipes, two bros etc then yea i'll go with it, anyone have this titanium pipe ? or rode one or know someone that rides and what do they think? Is the titanium pipe also good for 88cc bores? because i know eventually i'll bore mine.

Any aftermarket pipe will be fine with an 88cc bore.Titanium pipes are louder.I agree they look better, the reason I never ran one on my big bike was the only advantage is weight savings. One big crash bye bye ti-pipe.
just my

Re: What aftermarket pipe to get

How much louder are the titaniums? I have a v&h titanium on my r6 and its not really that loud. But one of the guys i ride with has the fmf on his xr and it sounds good, along with good power, so i'm sure the power of the titanium should be a bit better then that? And exactly how much louder?a bwaaap sound or nice and deep sound? a good loud? or annoying? Thanks guys

Some tracks around here wont let you run most titanium or carbon pipes.Example www.clubmoto.com On a big bike a pipe can make a big difference but on a 50 the gains are so small. You can get a standerd fmf xr50 pipe for about $140.00.Then take the 200.00 and put it towards a bore kit or something that you can really feel like a lightend flywheel.Just my opinion

Re: What aftermarket pipe to get

thats what i'm worried about jon, paying 100 dollars more and not noticing anything more than a loud annoying pipe because its titanium AHH decisions decisions.
