Re: What aftermarket pipe to get

Best for the money $ Big Gun $160.00
Best Overall but $$$ Classic Honda or Two Brothers
D&D also makes pipes for our bikes....... doesn't anybody here run a fast 50's pipe

Re: What aftermarket pipe to get
SO many mixed anwsers here, one says sano, 2 bros etc are crap. One says fmf while other says they are trash. Can anyone convince me!?
i'll give you a situation i had tonight. I have my uni filter. My dad just bought a pit king tip for his stock exhaust, i put it on my bike to see if it would make any diff. And it was coo because i could be ridin a wheelie, and it would fall, and normally it keeps goin down, but with this you just throttle up and its back up heh. Thats what got me addicted to performance. Re: What aftermarket pipe to get

Re: What aftermarket pipe to get
I would have to say that the pro-tec pipe is bad ***
its adjustable you can make it like your stock pipe or take out the 3 screws and have it wide open.
take a look http://www.pro-tecperformance.com/msxr50.htm

do more research on what you want to do with your motor b4 you waste $ on new exhaust.... no real gains over stock with stock head, other than looks/ weight/ noise. Best bang for your $. 88cc big bore (jug/piston) with everything else stock = huge torque, runs good just change to #60 main jet.
less cost than top shelf exhaust= more gains. Stage 2 add 70cc head, cam,20mm carb, exhaust(of choice). that is the proper way to tune your 50!
ask for help and info from Fab5fiddy. He has first hand experience, also has the parts for sale, but the advice is FREE and unbiased.
Drat= same performance cheeper! ask around , search old threads on 88cc kits, or engine tunning.

Re: What aftermarket pipe to get
i plan on eventually grabbing a 88cc kit. But i'm starting backwards you could say. Filter, Graphics, Pegs, Bars, Exhaust. But from the looks of the pro tec and what they say about it, it seems like a good all around pipe, and excellent with stock heads and on up they say. Anyone have one of these? Hows the sound, the web site says its actually quiet.
Re: What aftermarket pipe to get
the pipe when closed acts like a stock pipe but when you open it it has a nice grunt
here is a clip of how the pipe will sound when it is open

Re: What aftermarket pipe to get
heres what i did
since we were first called the reamer nationals
cost was key the cheaper the better
if you could make it out of something laying around in the junk pile
even better
my head pipe is off of an atc 90 oem from honda 85 bux
custom heated and tweaked then we used an old cobra collector 50 bux
old style not a can a megaphone a piece of steel to connect it to the top of the shock mount and it is a low pipe
for a high pipe we went lookin and found a old bassani xr 75 pipe
bought it for 10 bux chopped it up and made a high pipe out of it for motocross stuff. you do have to have an in with someone who can weld if you cant or dont have the stuff to do it yourself
those are for stroker motorts with cardb and cams big bore kit
running a cleaned up 70 head and an xr 100 carb
with an atc 90 intake carb dooesnt even have to be jetted
just my two cents worth take the time to hit your local motorcycle junk yard
its worth the trip and you have a one of a kind of pipe and sound that no one else has
our next pipe will be under the fender hehehehehe
hope this helps
