Re: I have A question about older 50s

it doesnot look the same it has a metal tank and such.i looks like the attached pic of mine i have 2 of the 86 all chrome ones.the 88 up models have the same engine as the xr50.there are still many hop up mods for these bikes.just as much fun as an xr just ask silver surfer he swears by his.just not as many suspention mods avil. but all the motor mods are.

Re: I have A question about older 50s

the motors on all 50's are the same
newer ones actually are not as beafy as the older ones skinnier rods and such
but all the same configuration
the main difference between the older and new xr's are wheels size
8 inch wheels as apposed to 10 inch wheels and of course the new one's
are a mono shock where the older are dual shock
but just as good as a new one a lil better if you start doing engine internal mods the new cranks arent holding up as well

I like the older Z50s more than the XRs. If I were you I would get it. In fact I have one just like it. I got a good deal on it too. :YEAH

Not true newer 50 motors use a CDI.

There alot of fun to ride!If you plan on jumping it plan on those wheels to get wasted real quick and the bearings in the wheels also get wasted quick.
