Just got motor done with 88 kit ??

I just got this done today, but bike is still in bedroom and had a few quick questions ? Is it suppose to be really hard to kick over... I mean it almost feels like my old 250f trying to start it without pulling in the decomp. lever.. Or could I have something messed up maybe valves to tight etc ? Just wanted some quick ideas or maybe info from someone else who installed a 88 kit... thanks Jesse

Mine's also hard to kick over, but I think its just all the compression the new kit makes compared to stock. Also, after trying different oil weights, I find the heavier the oil the harder it seems to kick over.

Lastly, my old 79' z50 is effortless to start next to my xr 88cc. Your prob. just used to the stock fiddy.

88c kits are twice as hard to kick than a stock bike. there is so much more compression it is rediculous. if u are still in dout, just double check yerself. aint **** to go back and check valve clearance. what kit did u get and what did u pay??

Thats what those breather caps are for. Relieves some of the compression in the head. U can make one your self too.

So what do the cheap kits cost? Where do you get them?? and how hard is it to get them to run correctly?
