oil / condensation coming out of breather tappet?
oil / condensation coming out of breather tappet?
i just made a sweet *** breather tapped at work and hooked it all up, but when i rode the fiddy around for a lil bit, the tube filled up w/ (what looked like) oil and/or condensation, and eventually reached the end of the tube (right where the top of the engine bolts onto the frame). at that point i just took it off. is this normal? or should i route the tube a different way? just wondering.

i ground down the threads a little so they'd hold the jb weld real well (didn't screw it in, just fit it in perfect), ground off the top 1/4" cause i though it was too tall, and ground off the bottom few threads so it mounts flush w/ the top. all the jb weld's on the inside so it looks pretty sweet. is the hole too large or something? i don't know why **** was coating the walls of the tube, but it was about 30 degrees out.

Its completely normal. It happens most when its cold out...... Mine does it too...sometimes its milky white...... Its condensation and water in the oil escaping.... change your oil ... it will help it go away...
Re: oil / condensation coming out of breather tappet?
I used colored fuel line and picked up a T-fitting at an auto parts store. Routed it along the frame and into the breather at the rear of the engine. Ran a line out of the T and out of the way. Looks clean, works fine.
