Jet or raise Clip?

I finally installed a uni air filter, and now I'm runnig into some problems. It seems like the fiddy is getting to much air now. It idles fine, but as soon as I try to punch it, it just sucks air and puts. I tried messing with airscrew mixture. I started by turning the airscrew in all the way "clockwise" and coming back out counter-clockwise just a **** hair each time, but no luck after adjusting it all day of riding. What would my next step be in getting my adjustments right? Do I have to raise my clip? If so, how do I do that? Is all this trouble really worth it? What kind of filters do you guys ride with?

move the c clip on the needle down 1 or 2 notches and try again .. i did that to mine and it helped BIG TIME

as far as clip im no pro at describing it but ill try since its 2am
1. follow the throttle cable and unscrew it where it connects to motor ...
2. make sure you in a place where if **** flys you can find it cause i almost found out the hard way
3. neway remove that black stopper thingie with the needle in in from the cable (becareful **** might fly)
4. once u have need and black thing in hand u start taking it apart remove the M lookin thing etc .. then u will see a little C looking thing and all these notches on the needle
5. CAREFULLY pop that off and move it down then put it all back together and do highchairs

potential is a decent person
yzf's just crazy, all he did is remove his spark arrester and now he thinks it's a vance & hines straightpipe! j/k. you should try going down one notch to richen it up a lil bit, the air/fuel screw is primarily for idling purposes (no more than 2 turns out). check the twobros site where their carbs are and read about the basic principles of carbs. it's good to know.
