ya, no way I'm paying that... since there bar kit is over 200 I figured the forks minus bars would be a little cheaper.

1. They are not just "xr70 with custom clamps". They are xr70 forks totally re-worked to be used on a 50. Custom top and bottom clamps, all new-internals and they are modified already to use a 50 wheel/brake. They are a lot stiffer and provide more travel than xr70 forks.

2. The normal bar kit is aroudn $200 becuase it comes with a clamp, the fork kit also comes with a clamp. The difference in price is because all thats missing is the bars/throttle/cable setup.

can I order one without the clamp then? It's kinda of pointless to sell a fork kit to people who already have the BBR bar kit for that price

Nick, no you cannot order it without the clamp because the one on the forks is different. Buy the fork kit then sell your clamp on ebay or here.

fab5, that review is on the old BBR forks. They have fixed all the problems and they run awesome now!

I still think before you waste $500 and cant use your triple that you spend $30-100 bucks on a Honda Xr,Mr,Sl Fork and see if you even like it. My dad fab'd a fork off a mid 80's Kawasaki KDX80. And i run them everyday.. I myself fab'd 3 forks since learning how it works. I have done a shortened XR75, stock SL70, and another KDX fork that was highly shortened. I am going to be doing a KTM 65 Jr Fork this weekend. My buddy bought it on ebay 87.02 + frieght.. Because there are other posibilities out there. It may just take some though..
