Don't change over the the larger 70 wheels. The fiddy motor is too small to turn that back tire. Use the rear swingarm and front forks. You will still need to put stiffer springs in the stock 70 forks. BBR has clamps and I think fast50s even has a big bar kit for the 70s
Forks
I have an XR70 stock rear shock on the back and i am happy with it.. I have Xr70 "style" forks. The FIRST problem that you are going to run into is that "any" Honda XR,SL,MR forks the headtube will be too long. I have done 4 Conversions. Other brands forks have different sized head tubes. If you look on eBay for any Honda SL,XR,MR 50s-75s you can find a front fork for around $50. SECOND problem is that without proper rear the Front will look Chopper Style, So therefore you must flip the triple over. By flipping the triple is helps to eminiate some of the length and pull the forks up higher. THIRD problem is after you do all this work for a nice fork, you cant use you fancy aftermarket triples.. I will attach pics of this whole process if they are needed.
This is a sl 70 fork thats on a bike.. This fork has not been cut down and this bike has stock rear suspension. so the fork looks chopper style, but once its lifted in the back it will even out..
The stock triple was fliped over the make the fork legs higher and loose some of the space on the fork stem..
